KISAE Expands Best Selling BATTERY CHARGER Line-up for RV, Off-Road & Van Conversion markets!

KISAE Technology is a recognized name in the power electronics business, and their line of battery chargers is expanding with the launch of two newly minted models: a 100A DMT12100, and a 40A UC1240

First, the DMT12100 smart DC-DC battery charger, which can charge the auxiliary house bank from the engine alternator or from a solar panel.  This compact charger can produce 100A output current and provides a microprocessor controlled 3-stage battery charge to the auxiliary battery.  The dual input may be either via the engine battery alternator or by MPPT (maximum power point tracking) solar which maximizes the solar panel input and shortens recharging time.

“Many people today are adopting the van conversion lifestyle, where they convert a van into a living space on wheels for part-time travel, long trips, and — in some cases — full-time living,” says Lawrence Neill, Director. “One of the most important considerations in these vehicles is the electrical system, and many people wish to go without the need to hook up to shore power at all. That means that they need to limit their energy usage as much as possible, and they must be able to charge the house battery bank while driving as well as when parked for a few days via solar.”

With the DMT12100 model, the user may adjust their charging current by 10A increments, and the product is very flexible in that they may use one battery chemistry in the starter battery (say AGM battery) and charge a different battery chemistry in the auxiliary bank (say, a lithium house bank).  The microprocessor makes these chargers very smart and allows users to maximize their electrical system while working with their preferred DC input power source.

Ideal for boaters, RV’ers, and truck owners with household battery banks, the KISAE DC-DC battery chargers ensure rapid and complete battery charging in applications where AC household power is not available.

And second, the UC1240 battery charger is a unique charger that can take inputs from many sources including utility power, vehicle alternator or solar panel to charge the house battery.

“By offering multiple input options, the KISAE UC1240 ensures that you can charge your battery anytime, anywhere.” states Neill.  In addition, the UC1240 is designed to charge lead acid, gel, calcium, AGM or lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. “With people using so many different battery chemistries, it was important to offer a versatile charger that provides peace of mind that your batteries will be fully charged, regardless if your vehicle is parked at home, or while you are travelling and require the comforts of home elsewhere.”

The UC1240 has a 40 Amp output current, plenty of power to replenish the auxiliary battery.  Built-in intelligence allows the user to set the inputs in priority sequence – meaning that if 12V solar power is available, solar PV power (using the built-in MPPT solar regulator) may be set as the top priority before topping up from another source such a utility or battery vehicle power when you’re on the move.

Both these new KISAE chargers are simple to install and include a remote panel so that you may monitor the state of charge and adapt the charge settings for your environment.  They represent KISAE’s continued commitment to offer simple, intelligent, and innovative power products for customers on the go who require reliable solutions to replenish, monitor and provide power wherever travel takes them.
